The Spinosa Factor

Embarassingly enough I had an awesome realization the other day about my company. The realization was that every piece of furniture we add to our office, every new framed photo, or even fish tank signifies the growth of a company and our long term commitment to each other.

When your dealing with a group of people all from successful corporate careers its a major mental shift to realize that your at the last job that you’ll ever have… especially when your not even 30 years old yet.

So the other day we deployed the Unleashed Technologies Fish Tank. Right now it’s version 1.0 as we don’t know if we have the combined skills to keep a fish tank continually running… with of course LIVING fish, living being the keyword in this phrase.

Everything you see in that picture was built by us including the stand which took about 2 hours to put together in total. You know where telling the truth by the sheer fact it’s still got the ikea based stickers on it signifying the letter the particular piece represents.

As I sat on the floor of the office while Scott worked out getting some new print work out to a client I realized that there was no other place that I’d rather be than where I am at right now. These will be the days that I look back on as some of the best. Part of something that will end up bigger than I could have ever conceptualized driven for and by people passionate about their work.

We decided that if we meet 20% net income (that’s after all the hub-bub gets taken out) every six months were going to increase tank size by 10 gallons. If we grow over all for the calendar year we’ll upgrade accordingly. So the goal to date is to have a 30 gallon fish tank by this time next year!!
